Aqua Plast CEO Arrested for Copyright Violation, Factory Raided by FIA Faisalabad

FIA - Faisalabad raided Aqua Plast, a prominent manufacturer of UPVC pipes and fittings, leading to the arrest of CEO Kashif Azad on charges of copyright violation. The arrest in which resulted in the registration of a FIR C/187/2023 against the owners of Aqua Plast for trademark and copyright violations under the 66/67 Copyright Ordinance 1962.

Legal Strike on Counterfeiter/illegal Importers of FOGG body sprays in Bolton Market - Karachi

Brand Guard Pakistan conducted two (02) successful anti-counterfeiting Raid action with Custom officials & Law Enforcement Agencies on warehouses/shop of illegal importers & Distributor of FOGG body sprays in Bolton Market Karachi and confiscated sizeable quantity of said products. During the raid action, Law Enforcement agencies arrested the both involved accused red handedly and brought them to the Police Station for further interrogation. FIR registered against both of them under Trademark, Copyright & Custom IPR act. Further Legal Proceedings has been started.

Law Enforcement Agencies conducted four (04) successful anti-counterfeiting Raid Actions on manufacturing hub, wholesalers & warehouses of imitated Al-Khub Atta (which is genuinely known as Al-Khubz Atta) on account of Trademark & Copyright violation at Karachi. More than 5000 Packaging Materials of imitated Al-Khub Atta & huge quantity of sub-standard flour were confiscated at the time of Raid. Concern authorities arrested the factory owner (accused) redhandedly and brought him to the Police Station for further interrogation. FIR514/2022 registered against those involved under PPC 420/485/486 and 66/67/34 of copyright act 1962.

Legal Action Against Haleeb Milk on Infringement of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)

The legal counsel of IPAP has acted and filed an FIR against Haleeb Foods for violation of Trademark & Copyrights. FIA authorities have recovered more than 40,000 milk carton and seized the godown along with arresting of the employee of godown.

According to the FIA authorities, the accused was involved in violation of Trademark & Copyright of some other brand. FIA confiscated 3,000 counterfeit cartons, holding about 36,000 cans. The raw material was also being illegaly bought.
